|Families with students entering Pre-K through Grade 12 have the opportunity to choose from an array of theme based curricula offerings in all grade levels. levels that provide innovative and rigorous academic instruction by specially trained teachers. Selection for placement is made in the spring of each year via a lottery process. Choice programs are available to Palm Beach County residents and students of employees of the School District of Palm Beach County only. The window to apply for a Choice program for the 2017-2018 school year is now closed. || ||Parents seeking a school choice option for the 2017-2018 school year may apply through the Controlled Open Enrollment (COE) process. COE allows any parent/legal guardian in the state of Florida to enroll his or her child in an eligible Palm Beach County public school. The online COE application will identify the eligible schools in which the parent/legal guardian may apply for. The window to apply for Controlled Open Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year is April 3 - May 5, 2017. || ||Parents/legal guardians/ PBCSD employees seeking a school reassignment for their child for the 2017-2018 school year may apply through the Reassignment process. Most requests for Reassignment can be handled through the Controlled Open Enrollment process. Reassignments will be reviewed according to school board policy 5.018. The window to apply for Reassignment for the 2017-2018 school year may apply online between June 1 - June 30, 2017. |
