Middle School Students

International Spanish Academy/ISA

International Spanish Academies (ISAs) are Dual Language Programs that have signed a collaborative agreement with the Ministry of Education of Spain. This K-12 educational program is carried out within the framework of cooperative activities organized by the Office of Education of Spain in the U.S. and each participating district. The language, history and culture of Spanish speaking countries are a major focus of the curriculum.

Due to the sequential nature and the rigor of the language of instruction, students accepted to an International Spanish Academy (ISA) at the middle school level should have had five (5) consecutive years of formal Spanish instruction at the elementary level, or be a native Spanish speaker, and must demonstrate Spanish language proficiency on a Spanish language assessment.
